Next stop Eugene

Tampa — On May 24th -26th the University of South Florida will be jam packed with athletes trying to further their season to Eugene.

This year with the University of Florida sweeping the SEC men’s and women’s final May 11-13 everyone knows this is going to be a long 3 days. We

can not just crown them yet because the Florida State men’s and Miami women’s who claimed the ACC championship will be in town.

Last but not least look for the MEAC to make some noise. With North Carolina A&T men’s edging out Bethune Cookman 153 to 150 and Florida A&M

women’s over North Carolina A&T 179.5 to 179 the battles are going to be epic. The top 12 individuals and 12 relays from each regional

competition will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.

The only thing I do not like about this weekend is the weather. It has rained everyday and does not appear to be letting up.

Special shout to Baytaf which will have rising stars competing at Jefferson high school this weekend.
